WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE?
THE BENZHOR EFFECT
Transformed a small start-up company specializing in consumer accessories into a viable concern with sales in big box national retailers across the U.S. and plans for product line expansion within 2 years of launch.
SITUATION
Three friends, united by their love for fashion accessories, invented a fashion accessory that helps properly store and protect handbags and boots. The trio had no existing business plan from which to start their business, nor did they truly understand the financial, operational, or marketing needs that came with the competitive landscape they were trying to enter. With nothing but a working prototype, they turned to Benzhor Group to develop a business strategy that would allow them to optimize sales of their new product and turn their business goals into measurable results.
SOLUTION
Benzhor Group turned the client’s single prototype into a start-up success story, starting with a comprehensive business plan. Understanding that cost drives financial needs, Benzhor Group worked with the client to determine which manufacturing, pricing and distribution options would best support the company’s growth. BG produced a comprehensive business plan that included marketing, operational and manufacturing strategies, giving the company’s management the foundation they needed to successfully launch the product.
RESULTS
- The company had a complete business plan that was used to attract seed investment. From funding, the plan provided the tools and information required to begin production for the company to launch even without further help from Benzhor Group, including marketing, operational and manufacturing strategies.
- Within two years, the company expanded its product lines and secured contracts with big box national retailers across the United States, including The Container Store.
- Benzhor Group has provided continual support, including metrics that are enabling the company to launch new product lines as their business expands and develops.
